The “Covenant” is one of the movie I watched. Rating: 3 stars and half.
4 guys with similar power but will only gain the full power of their power on their 18th birthday It is just a bunch of teenagers gaining power and trying to save the world kind of show. A bit of a revenge story whereby the long lost family member wanting to gain power control. Of course there is a love story for the main male character. Overall the effect of the movie is good, by the director who filmed the “Underworld” the standard is good. Interesting when you want to choose something to watch on weekends.
’Mo4 Gong1” Rating: 3 starsAndy Lau’s movie. An intelligent guy but seemed too clever for himself. By his own decision he went to help the country fight the attack of the other country. A clever guy when it comes to dealing with war strategies but it comes to love he used different kind of reasons to reject it. This movie told you that you have to bear the consequences of your own actions. A kind deed he offered to the help the country but they do not grant him the gratitude that he deserved. Beginning the show is really boring with all the talking and all that. At least as I endure the show it begin to be interesting.
”Gui3 Si1” Rating: 4 starsThought that Da S was one of the main characters but actually she died quite early in movie. Think the main leads are the two guys (Jiang Kou Yang Jie & Zhang Zheng) and Lin Jia Xing. A new kind of ghost story not that scary but the story is quite meaningful. It shows different desires that people pursue. The way of dying is interesting also. (:P) The silk linked to you and you are dead! Haha… The movie consists of 2 languages Mandarin, Japanese. I am surprised that Zhang Zheng’s Japanese pronunciation is not bad sia…. Hah even better than Da S, even though she is the “well known” person who know all those different languages. The story is interesting, worth to watch… Tell you ending, the survivors of the movie is Zhang Zheng and his girlfriend.
Pirates of the Caribbean – The Death Man’s Chest Rating: 3 stars
It continued the story of the previous movie (the first movie I got free tickets). It also continued the sense of humor in the story. Johnny Depp is as usual selfish but with a good heart (mind you it is a good heart but not a kind heart), Orlando Bloom is as usual as a handsome guy in the movie but other than that he is nothing. The female character, well, at least she earned a kiss with the pirate. Although for a different purpose, I still think deep in her heart she liked him. Last but not least, come on, the main pirate, Jack Sparrow cant be dead la. Please expect to see him in the next movie coming soon.
Pulse Rating: 2 starsI dunno why I rent this movie. Typical movie with similar storyline and typical ending. (All thanks to my sis who insisted on renting this one, mind you it was ME who paid for it!) I just know the main male character is one handsome guy from one episode of CSI. The female lead, I dunno who she is. Story goes by virus or some kind of other world people came to attack human being through all kind of connectivity in our daily lives, mobile, internet, networks etc. (Well, think the director want to encourage us to stop using all these things…(-__-“)) People who were infected will disappear into ash (that mean died). One thing I was most puzzled was the network/ connection/reception cannot pass through red tape. Why red tape not blue or any color else? And why it prevent them to go through? What kind of logic is that? The story continues as the male lead wanted to shut down the system but in the end unable to cos as the system is clever they know how to reboot itself and start all over again. In the end you have to travel to somewhere where this was no reception. Win liao. The movie is lame.
”Wei1 Ni2 Si1 Lian4 Ren2” Rating: 3 starsMy Ah Zhang from Shu3 Tong2 Yao2 is handsome but this drama was actually not that nice. I like the female lead, know her from another drama “Hao2 Jie2 Chun1 Xiang1”. A typical love story. The storyline seemed dragging by half of the drama. All I see was an angry male lead who seemed to angry about anything. The female lead was always such a poor thing. Typical rich guy with a poor gal story. The story began with a “One Night Stand” and continued with e female lead bearing the consequences of it and you can expect what goes on. The ending of the drama was very rush. Never really say much and it just ended. Disappointed with it.
